Fidelity Bond Claims Procedures
Insured's Duties in event of a loss:

Once you or any member of your staff is made aware of a potential claim, notice should be forwarded to World Wide as soon as possible by fax, e-mail or via overnight mail..

Within 24 hours of Receipt of First Notice of Loss from client a claim submission is prepared and forwarded to our specialty insurance claim unit electronically. It is essential that this be done by WW as we will supplement the documentation sent to us with underwriting information mandatory for the review of your claim.

Investigation cannot proceed without the proper documentation. The insured is allowed 120 days from the date of discovery to submit the Proof of Loss to WW.*

WW confirms all is in order and submits Proof of Loss to the claims examiner.

A claims examiner is assigned. The insured is notified of contact information and claim number approximately 7-10 days from receipt.

WW works with the insured representative to gather all documents required by the carrier in connection with the loss.

Upon completion of the examiner review, AIG will update the insured and forward a Release & Assignment for completion.

The Release & Assignment signifies the insured’s acceptance of claim payment.

Upon receipt of the Release & Assignment, the insurance carrier forwards payment within 60 days.

* In the event additional time is required by the insured to gather information and submit the completed Proof of Loss form, a written request must be sent to WW prior to the 120 days. Requests should include the reason for the extension and an estimate of time for completion.
